MOJA Arts Festival poetry reading

Featuring Tammaka Staley, a performance poet, teaching artist, and advocate. She is a resident of Columbia, SC and has been writing and performing poetry for several years. Tammaka actively works in the Columbia community with poetry and youth organizations like the University of South Carolina TRIO programs and she is the founder of a campaign called Love On Purpose. She is also a 2x Queen of the South Poetry Slam champion. Tammaka has performed as a featured artist at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts during the 2016 National American College Dance Festival and has performed in multiple venues across the country. She has poems published and has been featured in the Huffington Post, HuffPost Black Voices, Glamour Magazine, and SELF Magazine.
